While many of my stories are still based in the Old World hints of the
New and exotic begin to appear: presentations can be themed to season
or venue, tailored to special interest groups and made suitable for all
ages.
Together with my partner I show many aspects of wax
chandlery from straining and dipping to use in polishes and cosmetics
(though not the practical aspects of embalming…) We particularly offer
sealing wax stamping as a have a go activity.
We
also demonstrate traditional gambling, puzzles and games of skill and
introduce those obscure games like 'Noddy' that appear (to become
Cribbage) As ever there is the opportunity for hands–on participation
by both children and adults
As well as selling beeswax products, boardgames and puzzles I also cast pewter jewellery and talismans.
